Family Groups

By design, Family Groups are just what they sound like they'd be - small, family-style groups based on the New Testament example of meeting in houses. The atmosphere created within these relaxed and intimate settings encourages a higher level of personal participation and relational intimacy; and as religious pretense crumbles and hearts open up the life and love of God is released like a flood; things strongly valued by the World Outreach Community.

Found within Family Groups are Life Teams - gender specific groups of two or three people who get together regularly with the purpose of producing quality friendships that will enhance each others personal discipleship through accountability and prayer; as well as cultivate a lifestyle of evangelism.

Currently, there are four Family Groups meeting (two in Fort Mill, SC and two in the Concord. NC). There is no set pattern to the life of each group but typically they involve shared meals, Bible Studies, group and personal prayer, moral support, planning and carrying out local outreaches (as well as foreign missions trips), and other activities.

Celebration Service

On Sundays we meet to celebrate what the LORD has been doing in all of the different Family Groups and seek common direction as to where He is taking us as a people. These times usually involve worship, sharing (as the LORD leads among the congregation), and a message from one of WOC's leaders. While this is a more classically structured meeting, we still try to be sensitive to what the Holy Spirit is speaking and doing if He chooses to change our plans.

We also have a Fellowship Meal after the service on the first Sunday of the month. All are welcome.

Prayer Meeting

Jesus Christ taught us that in this manner we should pray: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

And so, every Tuesday Night at 7 pm, we meet together to seek His will and pray, "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." We'd love to have you join us!
